Janet McIntosh Obituary
Janet Jo Nemeth McIntosh, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born June 6, 1942 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Janet (Rockis) Nemeth.
She was a graduate of Morgantown High School and also graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Accounting. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and was an award-winning quilter. She also was an activist for animal rights.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Alan Loring and Joseph C. Loring.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Virginia Nemeth.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Sunday, March 8th from 1-3 PM. Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided at a later time.
A memorial brunch will be held on Saturday, March 14th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Janet's house. For those interested, please contact (304) 376-4559 for details.
