Janet R. Mueller

Janet R. Mueller of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, in McCormick, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial rites will be held following the service at Pioneer Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Memorial donations can be made in Janet's name to "Stuff" the Bus" of South Wood County.
Janet was born on September 11, 1937, in Boscobel, WI to the late Edwin and Irene Hirsch. She married Eugene P. Mueller on December 28,1958. Janet graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on June 5, 1959, with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education before becoming an Elementary teacher. She dedicated 36 years of her career to Grove Elementary School in Wisconsin Rapids, retiring in June of 1997. In her spare time, Janet enjoyed prayer and Bible studies, as well as volunteering with "Love Lights" and the Food Panty in her community.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Carole Sturkey, Mary Beth (Colin) Smith, and Jeanne (Sam) Sammartino; son John (Kelly Faust) grandchildren, Bryan, Elizabeth, Andrew, Alec, Victoria, Jefferson, Francesca, Joey, Olivia, Stephanie, Dawson, Kahlen, and Jasper; great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Jack, AJ, Leon, Kailo, Lucy, Caspian, Silas, Vince, Sienna, Kennedy, and Karsen; as well as her best friend, Mary Ann Schmidt.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene P. Mueller; parents, Irene and Edwin Hirsch; sister, Dorothy Thomas; and brother, John Hirsch
