Janet Gorkiewicz Proctor

Janet Gorkiewicz Proctor, 61, passed away December 8, 2022. Janet was born in Hopewell, Virginia to Stephen and Agnes Gorkiewicz. She was a student of life and loved to experience new things and new adventures, meeting and befriending those she met along the way. Janet always had great compassion for animals and she donated her time and money to their protection and care. Never settling for just ok, Janet strived for excellence in every job she took on. Her interest included many hobbies and she was forever crafting new projects and trying out new recipes which she would share with her friends. Above all, Janet was a caring person and she was always there to help out those in need.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 17 years, Kenneth Proctor; brothers, Mark Gorkiewicz and Jimmy Gorkiewicz; sisters-in-law, Darlene Gorkiewicz and Teresa Hedges; nieces, Nicole Solano and April Gorkiewicz; nephew, Clint Gorkiewicz; and a host of other family members and loving friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 4 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Pastor Steve Morgan officiating.
