Janet Kaye Smith, also affectionally known as "Gigi", passed away surrounded by family, on Saturday, October 4th 2025. She was a native of Aurora, Illinois, and resided in Vancleave, MS.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Bridget Ham (Terry) and one son, Jaron T. Armstrong (Jamie); and five grandchildren, Emma Armstrong, Keira Kaye Armstrong, Genilyn Bridgman, Kamron Steed and Kaye Lunsford.
Janet enjoyed spending peaceful days fishing and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Sugar.
No services are planned at this time.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Janet's nephew and his wife, John and Tracy Bunton, for their loving care during Janet’s final weeks, and to her neighbor, Thomas McCool, for his constant kindness and support whenever she was in need
