Janet M. Steir

Janet Marie Steir passed away on Sunday May 14, 2023, at the age of 60 in her home. Janet was self-described as a firecracker whose cackle, followed by a cough, could be heard across the most crowded department stores. Janet was a dedicated respiratory therapist, and she had a true passion for helping her patients and bringing laughter during difficult situations. However, she would make it clear she had to work on nights, because she'd get in trouble on days as her favorite bits involved trying to shock the crowd as much as possible. Janet never met a stranger and made an impact on everyone she crossed paths with, especially if you were able to try her famous sugar cookies. She was a proud mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and every other title she earned throughout her life.
Janet is preceded in death by her father William Dean, her mother Judy Dean, her sister Mary Wagner, and her husband Terry Steir, and is survived by her children Ashley Steir, Olivia Steir and Emily Hudson, her grandchildren Joseph, Melissa, David, and Elliot, her sisters Robin Crosswhite and Patty Lindsay, all of her nieces and nephews, and all the friends that became family.
