Janet Stees Wagner, 85, was born August 19, 1938, in Harleton, PA to William and Helen Stees and died September 30, 2023. Janet graduated from Mifflinburg, PA High School where she was active in Band, Basketball, Cheerleading, Drama, and Chorus. She is remembered to be full of fun, a good dancer, and likes the boys. Janet married the love of her Life, Fred Wagner in January of 1958. After he won her heart, she was truly devoted to him. The two had their first child, Tammy in 1958, followed by Jerry in 1960, Sam in 1964, and Joe in 1967. Janet, Fred, and the Wagner Team made the move to Oklahoma in 1971 where Fred helped open United Parcel Service in Oklahoma. They moved back to Pennsylvania, and had stops in Texas, North Carolina, and Florida before finally settling in Oklahoma. Janet became an elite distance runner later in life winning race after race until she retired from competitive racing but continued to run every day into her 80's. She enjoyed following all her Children and Grandchildren as they competed in every sport imaginable. She has a great passion for her OKC Thunder who she knew all by their first names (Perk, Nick, Stephen, Mike, and Jerami) were her favorites. Preceded in death by her Mother and Father William and Helen Stees, loving husband Fred, Daughter in-law Michelle Wagner, Brothers Ken Stees & wife Jean, Dick Stees and wife Pat, Mother-in-Law Margaret Wagner along with Brother & Sister In-laws: Bob & Carolyn Wagner, Ed & Leona Wagner, Ken & Jean Wagner, Janet Wagner Milroy, Winston Libby and Elaine Wagner. She is survived by daughter, Tammy Turner & husband Mike, Mangham, LA; sons: Jerry Wagner & wife Kim, Oklahoma City, Sam Wagner, Oklahoma City, & Joe Wagner Mobile, AL, many many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as Dave and wife Shelvia Wagner, Tom Wagner, Ginny Libby, and Lyman Milroy. On Monday, October 9th, at 2:00 pm, a celebration of life service for friends and family will be held at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Yukon, OK.
