Janice Faye Breske, 85, peacefully passed away on December 10, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in Granger, IN. She was born on May 9, 1939, in Marion, SC to the late Clyde and Bessie (Best) Noble.
Janice is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Walter Breske; her daughter, Julie Rokop of Osceola, IN; her son, David Breske of Mishawaka, IN; and her grandchildren, Abigail and Hunter Rokop. She was predeceased by her parents, her son; Stephen, and her siblings; Jean Leake and Jack Noble.
As a homemaker, Janice's family was a priority and she was very active in her grandchildren's lives. They enjoyed several family vacations all over the country, especially to Fort Myers Beach, FL. She was an avid tennis player and the sport was a big part of her life.
She was active in her church and in her own children and grandchildrens' school years. Traveling was another activity she enjoyed, especially to areas like Hilton Head with her tennis friends. Her and her family have traveled all over the United States and the Caribbean Islands. In their retirement years, they found great friendships in their neighbors who they saw quite frequently.
Janice had belonged to a card group with several good friends since 1966, although not many of them enjoyed actually playing cards, they just enjoyed getting together. They also had very close friends of many years that they enjoyed going out to frequent dinners and made several trips around the United States.
Janice was a beautiful southern lady, and whoever got the pleasure of meeting her absolutely loved her. Her family was the most important thing to her. Janice's loving personality will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5pm - 7pm on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Palmer Funeral Home ~ Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital or Mayo Clinic.
