Janice Bruenderman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pearson Funeral Home on Oct. 21, 2022.
In the early evening hours of a beautiful fall Saturday, Janice Wrocklage Bruenderman – devoted wife of 53 years and the mother of three rambunctious boys turned men – passed away, surrounded by the closest members of an endless group of family and friends who loved her dearly.
Janice was patient and kind – she had to be, with three sons who tested her daily during their teenage years. Yet no matter how many mistakes they made, she remained supportive and proud. The boys' friends became fixtures around the Bruenderman home through the years, and Janice made sure to treat them as her own and befriend their families, stitching together a close-knit community with "Mama B" at its center. Always willing to share her smile and impossibly positive outlook, she made friends everywhere she went and had a gift for making those around her feel cared for.
She never met a stranger, which came in handy after her graduation from du Pont Manual High School when she embarked on a career as a flight attendant for American Airlines. She made lifelong friends with other flight attendants as they traveled the country together, and she enjoyed her days reminiscing with them during meetings of their "Kiwi Club." Janice also liked to be the life of the party, and loved to go out dancing with her husband, Warren, and their large group of close friends, including the St. Albert's "lunch bunch" and family bunco.
Most of all, Janice adored her family, which for her included not only her immediate relatives but many others who came into her life along the way, like the huge contingent of Bruendermans she gained through her marriage to Warren. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, brothers- and sisters-in-law and her many nieces and nephews. She treated all her family, extended and otherwise, with care and compassion, and cherished these relationships she considered herself lucky to find.
Janice is survived by her husband, Warren, her sons, Brian (Kristen Miller), Jeff (Dawn) and Kevin (Alex), her grandchildren Chandler, Logan, Riley, Henry and Lauren, and her great-grandchild, Cayden Bryce.
Visitation for Janice will be held Monday, October 24th from 3-7pm at Pearson Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Ln., and a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 10am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Janice's name to the Nazareth Home, where she received loving and attentive care for the past two years.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville Goes to Remember."
