Janice Ebert, age 82 of Gresham passed away at her home on Saturday evening, April 5, 2025, with her family by her side.
She was born in Shawano to Lawrence and Ruth (Winter) Braun Sr. on April 28, 1942. She grew up and attended school in Shawano graduating from Shawano High School.
Janice married Tyrus Ebert on June 15, 1963. Together they raised three sons. Family was important to her, and she made sure all were well taken care of. She enjoyed singing, bowling, and playing softball. Janice was fond of rummage sales and visiting with others. Ty and Jan enjoyed scenic drives in their many antique cars.
She demonstrated a strong work ethic beginning her adult working career in the office of Badger Breeders, known today as PEAK Genetics. Janice retired after 48 years.
Janice was active in a number of community groups, giving of herself and looking to help others. She led many activities with the Gresham Booster Club, Christian Mothers, Gresham Woman's Club, Shawano County Historical Society, St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church and the Gresham Railroad Depot Museum.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Tyrus; sons Mark (Lisa) Ebert, Ken (Michelle Johnson and Akasha) Ebert, Russ (Katie) Ebert; grandchildren Tyler (Emily) Ebert, Logan (Kayla) Ebert, Rachel (JJ) Johnson and Justin Alison.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Ruth Braun Sr; brothers Lawrence "Larry" Braun Jr. and Roger Braun; sister Mavis (Bill) Schultz; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gervase and Bonita Ebert.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
