Janice Anne “Niecy” Hendrickson, 80, of Veedersburg, went home to be with her Jesus at 5:57 PM Tuesday March 18, 2025.

Niecy was born February 16, 1945 in Danville Illinois the daughter of Larn E. and Ruby E. (Danner) Moffitt. She married Robert Albert “Butch” Hendrickson August 31, 1968 in Danville, Illinois; he preceded her in death December 26, 2013.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Juna Milholland, and a brother, Butch Moffitt.

Surviving family include three daughters, Jill (Troy) Finley, Veedersburg; Lynn (Jared) Cox, Barnard, IN; Molly (Jason) Gleason, Arizona; a brother Larn (Barbara) Moffitt Jr, Tennessee; a sister Sandy Ryan, Potomac, IL; ten grandchildren, Tyler (Nicole) Finley, Tara (Trey) Brown, Jesse (Kinlie) McElwee, Wyatt McElwee, Houston Finley, Anna Hicks, Avery Jordan, Izabel Cox, Adalyn Cox, Kiowa Simonton; seven great-grandchildren. Maverick McElwee, Ruby McElwee, Claire Finley, Maddie Finley, Aida Hicks, Damon Hicks, and Crue Brown.

Niecy graduated from Schlarman High School in 1962. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Danville, IL; she was very passionate about her faith in Jesus and always eager to share that faith with others, right up to the very end.

Memorial service will be 4:00 PM Monday March 24, 2025 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg IN with Pastor Kenneth Jones officiating. Visitation will begin at 3:00PM Monday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service at 4:00PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the Veedersburg Fire Department.
