Janice Nadine Moeller, age 85, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Peter. Memorials may go to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Care Center or the donor's choice.
Janice was born on January 3, 1939 in Fayette County, Illinois, the daughter of Isaac Wilson and Grace Juanita (Bennyhoff) Haynes. She married Delmar Louis Moeller on September 25, 1958 in St. Peter, Illinois. She was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. Peter's Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, and St. Peter American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing cards, crocheting, embroidering, puzzles, and bowling. Janice was an incredible cook and was known for her German potato salad.
She is survived by her son, Terry Moeller (wife Nancy) of Farina; daughters, Trudy Thompson (husband John) of Vandalia, Trieva Henson of St. Peter, and Teresa Hinterscher (husband Dave) of Noble; brother, Lynn Haynes (wife Diani) of Spring City, Tennessee; sister, Twila Denning of Vandalia; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; aunt, Joyce Black of Farina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Grace Haynes; husband, Delmar Moeller; brother, Carroll Haynes.
