Janice Ault Pace, 62, passed away on July 26, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Lehi, Utah, on May 28, 1962, to Howard Raymond and Lurae Smith Ault.
As she grew up, she was involved in many 4-H programs. She and her baby brother Brent won a 4-H State Cooking Program allowing them to prepare a meal for the Governor of Utah. She has always loved horses. To get her mom to agree to let her take horse lessons and grow her love for horses, her mom forced her to take dance lessons.
She attended American Fork Junior High and High School where she played basketball, volleyball, and softball, and she made lifelong friends with her teammates and coaches. Because of her love for horses, she also participated in the Utah High School Rodeo Association traveling throughout Utah competing in barrel racing, breakaway roping, goat tying, and team roping and gained many friends along the way. She graduated from American Fork High School and LDS Seminary in 1980. She then attended Utah Technical College and Brigham Young University where she continued her love of rodeo for both colleges and completed a degree in accounting.
She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Georgia Atlanta Mission from 1983 to 1985. She was sealed for Eternity to Rande Stewart Pace on June 17, 1989, in the Jordan River Temple.
She loved her four children, Cortney, Collin, Danielle, and Dustin. She instilled her love of family, mountains, horses, camping, and hunting in all of her children and grandchildren. Once her children were born, she sacrificed her time in the saddle to fuel her kids' passions. Her kids were her passion! As she supported her children in their passions, she made many more lifelong friends.
She was Snuggle Grandma to all five of her grandchildren: Hadley, Lainey, Leilah, Riley, and Stratton. The grandkids begged for their turn for a sleepover--especially at the cutting shows-- and wanted to spend all their time with her. She loved them with all her heart!
She had a special bond with all of her nieces and nephews and was the favorite aunt-especially for those who were older than her kids. She took them everywhere with her and was never too busy for them. They especially loved spending time with her when it involved horses. They all thought they were her favorite, and she will be missed by them.
She leaves behind her husband Rande, her four children and their spouses: Cortney (Oliver) Miller, Collin Ronald (Casey) Pace, Danielle Pace, and Dustin Rande Pace, five adoring, loving grandchildren: Hadley, Lainey, and Stratton Pace, and Leilah and Riley Miller, brothers, and sisters: Peggy (Kim) Fisher, Steven (Connie) Ault, Sherie (Jeff) Warner, and Brent (Tami) Ault, and oodles of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephews Justin Fisher and Brett Warner.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11 AM at the Santaquin Stake Center, 45 S. 500 W., Santaquin. Viewing will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024, 6-8 PM at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main St., Lehi, and Thursday, August 1, 2024, 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service. The interment will be at the Genola Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your loved ones.

As a young married moving into our ward. Always helping in any way she could. Her family donated the sod to the Timp temple and our youth were given the honor of laying it. I never go there without remembering that day with fondness. She also had a large pile of sod dropped off at my home and wouldn´t let me pay for it. She did out camp shirts, so many talents.
