Janice Rollo of Maumee, Ohio passed into the arms of our Lord on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the age of 72.
Ms. Rollo was born to Mack Allister Whitaker and Maurine Whitaker at Hill Air Force Base in Davis County, Utah on September 7, 1950. Since her father was a Master Sergeant serving in the U.S. Army, her family traveled throughout the United States during her childhood, eventually settling in Mesa, Arizona. Janice attended Westwood High School where she went by 'Nicki' and enjoyed being a member of the Dance Club. She graduated with the Class of 1968. She pursued a lengthy career in accounting and management at various non-profit organizations throughout the Phoenix area. In 2010 Ms. Rollo moved to Maumee, Ohio to live with family. She enjoyed a peaceful life as a loving grandmother and met many new cherished friends. She is survived by her children and their families: Casey and Beth Cook of Maumee, Ohio with grandchildren Coira and Cecilia Cook; Brandon and Britten Rollo of Montclair, Virginia with grandchildren Mitchy, Connor, Dean and Jack Rollo; Warren Rollo and Tasha McNew of Grand Junction, Colorado; Brittany and Robert Hobé of Mesa, Arizona with grandchildren Frederick Hobé Allen, Thomas Hobé Allen, and Victoria Hobé; Briana and Joel Hubbard of Chandler, Arizona with grandchildren Nathaniel Miller and Jonah Miller.
A Funeral Mass for Ms. Rollo will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, November 18 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, located at the intersection of Sherwood Avenue and Anthony Wayne Trail (OH-25) in south Toledo. Official church address is 2255 Central Grove, Toledo, OH 43614. Ms. Rollo's Funeral Mass will be followed by a welcome luncheon for family and friends.
