Emily Holmes

I first met Janine on our first day of nursing school and loved her then and there. We went through school together and started our careers together at Boston City Hospital, working side by side. Then going out dancing and partying afterwards to let go of all that stress. I am so sad to see that she is gone and that I wasn't able to catch up with her before she died. Janine was one of a kind - an effervescent presence, strong, brash and funny as hell but also deeply caring and ethical. She was one of the best friends I've ever had. My condolences to Janine's family and friends on this loss. She was, I'm sure, deeply loved. I certainly loved her and the world was better with her in it.
