Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sullivan Funeral Home - Hanson on Nov. 10, 2025.
Jonathan James Pratt, 45, of Pembroke, was called home to the Lord's loving arms on November 4, 2025. Born on December 6, 1979, in Tyler, Texas, Jonathan was raised in Pembroke, Massachusetts, and was the beloved son of Kevin and Mary (Lannan) Pratt of Pembroke.
He was the devoted husband of Amy Breault and the proud father of Mairead Pratt and her fiancé John Ferrara of Norton, and Colt Pratt, his son with Amy. He was also the loving stepfather to Arianna Bibaud and the cherished "Grandpa" to Americo and Rosalia, his grandchildren through Mairead.
Jonathan was a beloved brother to Faith (Pratt) Bermingham and her husband Robert Bermingham of Hanson, David Pratt and his fiancée Marissa Sweeney of Halifax, and Nichole (Connolly) Mayott and her husband Michael Mayott of Bridgewater. He was a fun and caring uncle to Rob, Ryan, Kris, Aidan, Zachary, Abby, Bella, Kevin, Gavin, Lilly, and Penelope. He was also the longtime best friend of Matt Fredey, with whom he shared countless memories and a bond that felt more like brotherhood. He leaves many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
A 1999 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School, Jonathan went on to join the Carpenters Union Local 33, where he proudly worked for many years with Berry Construction, Wise Construction, and Suffolk Construction. More recently, he followed his passion and opened Pratt's Home Improvement and Handyman Service, where his exceptional craftsmanship and work ethic earned him great respect in the community. Jonathan was always the first to offer a helping hand and never hesitated to serve others.
Jonathan had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking through the woods, camping under the stars, and sharing those adventures with his children, nieces, and nephews, memories they will cherish forever. He also loved woodworking and tinkering on cars, always using his brilliant mind to find creative shortcuts and clever solutions to any problem. He was endlessly curious, innovative, and hands-on in everything he did.
Jonathan's faith was central to his life. His love for God was deep and unwavering, and he was an active and devoted member of New Life Church, where he found great joy in giving back and connecting with others. Those who knew Jonathan will remember him for his generosity, faith, and the unconditional love he showed to everyone around him.
Jonathan's selflessness continues on through his final act of giving. As an organ donor, he provided the gift of life to others, a true reflection of the way he lived every day with compassion, faith, and love for others.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
