Born on September 19, 1962 in Augusta, Georgia, Richard was the son of the late John W. Pratt, Jr. and the late Jeannette Reynolds Thomas.
As a young child Richard enjoyed spending summers at his grandparents in Shady Dale, Georgia. He also enjoyed time spent with his grandparents in Marietta, Georgia playing in the music room. Richard attended Tucker High School where he played the viola in the band.
He served in the Army and afterwards lived in Germany for several years working at rodeos.
After returning home he was self-employed in the construction industry building houses all around Metro Atlanta and surrounding counties.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Grandparents John W. Pratt, Sr and Frances Pratt, Charles Gordon Reynolds & Lottie Jeannette Reynolds and Stepson Joshua Jordan.
He is survived by stepsons, Steven (Kristen) Link, Jon Paul Rossano; 4 grandchildren; sister, Tracey (Rod) Wade; brother, Gordon (Tara) Pratt; nephew, Shane Abbott; aunts, Patsy Bellamy and Patricia Kennedy of Kennesaw, GA.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
