Janis Amadee Adler, 70, of Stoneburg, Texas, passed away on October 23, 2025. She was born on May 10, 1955, in Hall, Texas, and grew up in Memphis, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Herman and Amadee Vallance. She is survived by her two siblings, John Vallance and Jeane Coffey.
She was married to the love of her life, Lee Adler III, until his passing in 2003.
Together they raised five children - Michael Castillo, Jeremy Castillo, Amanda Adler, Adrianna Hager, and Amadee Horner - and she was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Janis worked at Walmart for nearly 27 years before retiring. She was known for her kindness, her big heart, and her trademark warm hugs that made everyone feel like family.
The family will hold a private ceremony to spread her ashes with her husband, Lee, honoring their love and life together.
"Her hugs may be gone, but her warmth will stay with us forever."
