On Wednesday, April 2, 2025 Jann Jardine Pugmire finished her fight here on Earth and went to be with her loved ones in heaven.

Jann was born in Logan, Utah on May 16, 1959 to Ira Daniel and Margaret Fackrell Jardine. She lived most of her life in Clarkston, Utah where she met many of her lifelong friends. She attended school at Clarkston and Lewiston Elementaries, North Cache Jr. High, and Sky View High School, graduating in 1977.

She married Boyd Pugmire on February 1, 1980 and they recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They spent a lot of time traveling, with their most common destinations being Yellowstone; Kaycee, Wyoming for Chris LeDoux Days; and anywhere their grandkids would be. They loved teasing each other and making everyone laugh.

Jann had many jobs over the years, but her favorite time working was helping people with disabilities. She loved spending time with them, and they loved being with her.

She loved being outside; working in the yard, going for walks, and sitting in the sun. Her favorite place to be was Yellowstone National Park. She started going there with her family as a young girl, visited her parents while they worked there, and continued to go as often as she could.

Her whole world was her family. She was fiercely loyal to and protective of her family. She was a hands-on grandma. She played video games, board games, and card games. She would sit and crawl on the floor and play with toys all day long. She always made sure everyone was fed and comfortable, often asking, “Are you okay?” She loved supporting her grandkids in all of their sports and activities. We all loved her funny sayings that we called “Jannerisms.” Her favorite curse word was “John Deere!”

Jann had dealt with health problems her entire life, and she always met every situation with grit and determination. The last five years have been the toughest, and right up to the end she was trying to take care of the rest of us.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Margaret Jardine, as well as her father-in-law, Roger Pugmire. She is survived by her husband, Boyd; her kids Andy and Emily Pugmire, and Amber and Zeb Johnson; her grandkids, Maddie, Garen, Levi, Sophie, Zack, and Everett; sisters Judy (Den) Clark, Margie (Dean-deceased) Archibald, and Nancy (Martell) Lowe; her mother-law, Janene Pugmire; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home (162 E 400 N, Logan). Another viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 am, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am at the North Park 2nd Ward Church building (2540 N 400 E, North Logan). Dedication of the grave and burial will take place at the St. Charles, Idaho cemetery at 3:00 pm.
