Rebecca Pugmire (Brady) passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's disease on September 18, 2025 at her home in South Jordan, Utah.

Born June 16, 1957, in Redondo Beach, California, to Lawrence Clinton Brady and Nyleen Neilson, as the second of four girls. Becky grew up and resided in many locations in the Salt Lake City area. She attended Hillcrest High School and Brigham Young University, where she attained an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Management.

On June 6, 1980, Becky married Bruce R. Pugmire in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. Together they raised three children: Candace, Emily, and David.

Becky's career began as a Legal Secretary at various law offices throughout the valley. (Little did we know that she even worked at the same building and on the same floor as Bruce's mom when Bruce and Becky met each other in 1979). She also enjoyed teaching in the Challenger School System, where David was in her kindergarten class.

Becky loved to travel, with Hawaii being her favorite destination. In recent years Becky and Bruce tried to plan a trip to Hawaii at least once per year. Becky's greatest joy came in her propensity (addiction) to shop and find a bargain. At one point, she was proud to be the sole provider of finding and purchasing clothing for all of her grandchildren. She was known to open the car door and exit a moving car just to get to a sale faster.

Becky had a love of sugar, her favorites being See's Pecan Buds and Baskin Robbins Pralines and Cream.

She taught her family through example to be kind, loving and independent. Becky possessed an abiding faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in her Heavenly Parents. She served in many callings over the years in the Young Women and Primary organizations.

Becky is survived by her husband, Bruce; her children Candace (Brad) Belcher, Emily (Mike) Bodily and David (Erika) Pugmire; 9 grandchildren, Brock, Bennett, Skylar, Harper, Grayson, Brady, Avery, Reese and Beckham; mother, Nyleen Brady and sister, Lisa Brady.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Clinton Brady, her sisters, Janet Jensen and Roxann Brady, her father-in-law, Elden R. Pugmire, her mother-in-law, Mary S. Pugmire, and her brother-in-law, Ken S. Pugmire. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 45 years and her posterity.

The family would like to give special thanks to Harmony Home Health and Hospice for providing exceptional care for Becky the last four years. Special thanks go to Harmony staff consisting of Jamie, Laurie, Levy, Arely, Zenaida and Georgina. Special thanks also goes out to her private CNA aides Cristina and Ana.

At Becky's request, a graveside service will be conducted for those invited.

Earlier today

My late husband and I met Bruce and Becky shortly after we were both newly married and both of us had built our first homes in Kearns Utah. We had so much in common and quickly became good friends. We have kept in touch over the past 44 years. My love and prayers to Bruce and his wonderful family. What a privilege and a blessing to have known Becky and Bruce. Carol and the late Scott Marcusen
