Jeff was a great guy. Went to junior high and high school with him. He was a great athlete. We reconnected years ago on Facebook, and we ran into each at youth sporting events and at Eagle High football games. He was always classy and very nice.

I moved to the Boise, in 1988 and eventually met him at the LDS Institute building across from Boise State University. He was always very friendly to me. I Fast forward until 10 or 12 years ago or so and both our son's were playing in a youth basketball league. Jeff saw my wife and I up in the stands and came over and visited with us. However, at game time Jeff went over to the score clock control's because he was running the scoreboard during the game. At half time, his son's team was hugely in the lead. When the 2nd half started, I notice that Jeff had changed the score back to 0-0. One of the coolest things I have ever seen done in my life. I got his cell number from a mutual friend and sent Jeff a text about what he had done. From that time on, we sent goofy dad jokes back and forth to each other as well as various other topics. We stayed in "quick" contact by text after his diagnosis. Jeff is one I will never forget for many reasons, as well as his amazing humility among all his success of mortality. My heart goes out Pam and all his family at this time. My first memory of Jeff was when we were 13 years old. A councilor in the bishopric told me of a new family who had just moved into our ward. He told me that their oldest son, Jeff, needed some encouragement to come to church and asked me if I could go by his house and invite him. Later that week I went to his house, he was outside in the yard. I told him who I was and invited him to church. He came the next week. We spent our teenage years together doing the stupid things teenagers do. He was always so much fun to be with. We went on a lot of campouts, and a lot of temple trips to the Idaho Falls temple together. I´ll tell you what... that boy could snore. The last time I spoke with Jeff was in September of 2024. We had a nice conversation catching up with each other. He sure did speak highly of his wife and kids. He will be missed by all of us, but I know he is enjoying his new adventure in the next life. We will see him again someday.
