Jason Wade Aubol, age 54, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN on Thursday, August 21st at 11:00am. Visitation will take place at 10:00am, and Jason will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, rural St. Hilaire, MN.

Born on April 26, 1971, in Thief River Falls, Jason was the son of Vergil and Jan (Schweitzer) Aubol. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and attended school locally. After completing his education, Jason worked in a variety of jobs throughout the area, always bringing dedication and a helping hand to those around him.

Jason had a lifelong passion for vehicles-he loved buying, selling, and working on them, especially when it meant spending time with others. He found joy in helping people and took pride in being someone others could count on. Whether he was hunting, fishing, camping, or simply working outdoors, Jason felt most at peace surrounded by nature. His quick wit and sense of humor brought laughter and light to many lives.

Jason is survived by his sons, Jordan (TyLynn) Aubol of Barnesville, MN, and Blake Aubol of Fargo, ND; his mother, Jan Aubol of Thief River Falls, MN; and his siblings: Darla (Gary) Pashman of Topeka, KS, Randy (Tracy) Aubol of CO, Pam Nelson of Warroad, MN, Janel Engelstad of Thief River Falls, MN, Al Anderson of Thief River Falls, MN, Lowell Anderson of Thief River Falls, MN, Lynae (Bruce) Lawrence of Thief River Falls, MN, and Stacy (Jeff) Lund of Thief River Falls, MN. He is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vergil Aubol; siblings Diane Walker, Denise Sewill, and Ricky Aubol; in-laws Duane "Butch" Nelson and Linda Anderson; and nephew Ethan Anderson.

Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
