Jason G. Kosiba, 43, of Hagaman, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at his home.
Jason was born in Amsterdam, NY on August 16,1981 a son of Gary J. and Debra A. McCord Kosiba. He was a lifelong area resident and was a 1999 graduate of Amsterdam High School.
Jason was the owner and operator of Kosiba's Lock Shop in Amsterdam where he worked his entire career as a Locksmith Technician. He was a communicant of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Hagaman, NY.
Jason was a motorsports enthusiast. He enjoyed four wheeling, snowmobiling, boating and automobiles especially his classic Trans Am.
Jason is survived by his Parents Debra and Gary Kosiba of Amsterdam. His loving companion, Melissa Lindsay and her children, Ronan and Patrick. Aunts and uncles, Frank and Gerry Bowen, Bill and Janice McCord, Jeff and Margaret Bagdon and Jim and Cindy McCord. Cousins, Christopher, Taylor, Sean and Jay, Anthony and Lisa, Alex, Gabby and Alex, and Michael and Linda. Along with many friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents William and Kathleen McCord and paternal grandparents John and Geneveive Kosiba.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 51 N. Pawling St., Hagaman, NY with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. as celebrant. A calling period will be held prior to the funeral Mass on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jason's memory to: Town of Florida snowmobile club c/o Stephen Viele P.O. Box 426 Amsterdam NY 12010 or Venmo @tofsnowmobileclub.
