When he was six the family moved to Mesa, Arizona where he attended school until his junior year when they moved to Bountiful, Utah. He graduated from Davis High School.
Dad married Sharon Leona Saunders November 10, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had seven children. Mom passed away on September 9, 2013. They were married 59 years.

Dad was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a strong testimony and love of our Savior Jesus Christ. He lived a simple, humble life full of service.
Dad was a good father. He was a hard worker and was meticulous in what he did. His grandchildren have fond memories of grandpa taking them around the block in the red wagon and sharing homemade ice cream.
