My beloved father was an easygoing, kind-hearted man who got along with everyone and made a lasting impression on those around him. Always approachable, he never hesitated to lend a hand in any way he could. He had a little bit of knowledge about everything - from cars and finances to home repairs - and at home, he was our handyman, always fixing things with patience and care.

What many may not have known is that he had been courageously fighting cancer in silence for the past six years. Through it all, he remained positive and refused to let the illness define who he was.

He was proud to work as a driver for Recology, a job he truly loved. He had hoped to return this November, but sadly that day never came. If you live in San Mateo County, you may have seen him collecting your green compost bin - he took great pride in serving the community.

His passing has left an absence in our lives. My family and I are deeply heartbroken as we say goodbye to such a loving father, husband, brother, uncle, and cousin.
