Jay W. Anthony, 81, formerly of Rostraver Twp., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2025. A son of the late Ralph and Thelma (Brost) Anthony, he was born on March 24, 1944. Formerly of Rostraver Twp., Jay has been a resident of Houston for the past three years. He was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church in Charleroi. Jay was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a former commander of the Donora and Charleroi American Legions, current member of the Houston American Legion, Vietnam Veteran's Incorporated of Fayette County, the Houston Independent Club, and former member of the American Legion Riders. Jay was a former employee of the Monongahela Valley Hospital. He is survived by a daughter, Brooke R. Anthony of Rostraver Twp., three sons and daughters in-law, Brennan and Amy Anthony of Houston, Marc and Debbie Kuch of Gulf Shores, AL, and Shawn Kuch of Clarksville, PA, three granddaughters, Jadyn Garbart, Bridget Anthony, and Catherine Anthony, and two sisters, Paula Whalen of Montana and Margaret Miller of Roscoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Karen Anthony on December 18, 2020. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A blessing will be held on Friday at 10 A.M. in the funeral home with Deacon Michael Brigode officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
