Nicholas J. Pavlick, 75, of Rostraver Twp, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Jefferson Hospital. A son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Kotuba) Pavlick, he was born in Pittsburgh on May 26, 1950.
Nick was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 46 years. He was a very active and dedicated member of the Bible Chapel, Rostraver campus, and he loved sharing his faith and the joy it brought him with anyone he met. He graduated from the former California University of Pennsylvania with an Elementary Teaching degree an1973, and, in 1977, received another degree in Environmental Sciences. He worked at the Volkswagen plant in New Stanton for 10 years before he embarked on a second career as a Physical Therapist Assistant at numerous facilities, retiring in 2016. Nick had a lifelong love of nature and spent as much time as he could outdoors, including biking, fishing, bow hunting, golfing, and searching for Native American artifacts along the Youghiogeny while on hikes.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patty (Houston) Pavlick, a daughter and son in-law, Maggie and Bob Lindenberg of Pittsburgh, a sister and brother in-law, Mary Lou and Pat Curtin of Michigan, two sisters in-law, Marie (Ralph) Hirsch of Pittsburgh and Barbara (Dale) Day of Perryopolis, many nieces and nephews, and his English Setter, Cody.
Friends will be received on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1 to 5 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
A funeral service will follow at 5 P.M. with Pastor Alan Booth officiating.
