Jay Elwood Esche, 64 of Dawsonville, Georgia entered the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 18, 2025 after an extended illness. Jay was born August 26, 1960 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Julius and Martha Esche.

He is survived by his wife Danica "Dani" Mazzaferro Esche, son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Michaela Knight, and many other relatives and friends.

When Jay was young his family settled in Venice, Florida. He graduated from Venice High School in 1978. Jay continued his education at the University of Florida and graduated in 1982.

Jay was a man of unwavering faith, a loving husband and father.

He was a member of Living Faith Lutheran Church in Cumming, Georgia. Jay faithfully served the congregation as an elder.

In his younger years Jay was a member of the Florida Jaycees.

Jay enjoyed spending time with family, beach vacations, golfing, watching baseball and watching and cheering for the Florida Gators football team.

Jay worked for the State of Florida Department of Financial Services as an Area Financial Manager in the securities industry. After moving to Georgia he started JE Compliance Consulting LLC. Jay was devoted to his clients and worked diligently on their behalf.

A memorial service will be held on August 28th at Living Faith Lutheran Church at 1171 Atlanta Highway, Cumming, Georgia. Visitation at 9:00 am Service at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Living Faith Lutheran Church
