Jaynel Froisy Nadler

Jaynel Froisy Nadler, age 86, resident of Plaquemine, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2025. Born December 28, 1938, Jaynel lived a full and joyful life rooted in faith, family, friendship, and community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Jessie Froisy, and son-in-law Kevin Cater. Jaynel is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Andrew "Bruck" Nadler; sister, Karen Hall; and brother, Brian Froisy. She was the proud mother of four children, Kirk Nadler (Cecilia), Rachel Cater, Brandon Nadler (Suzanne), and Gretchen Clifton (Clay). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kristin Cater, Scott Cater (Elizabeth), Ryan Cater, Andrew Nadler (Jeanne), Alexander Nadler (Hannah), Cameron Clifton (Paige), and Cody Clifton (Kacie); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Levin Tuma, Nash Stevens, Heidi and Starla Cater, Emma Nadler, and Hattie and Evie Clifton. A graduate of Plaquemine High School, Jaynel was a cheerleader and homecoming queen, early reflections of the charm, warmth, and leadership that defined her life. Professionally, she was a legal secretary known for her remarkable typing speed. Jaynel was active in community and social organizations, serving as president of the Plaquemine Garden Club, a member of Les Etudiantes, and a part of a close-knit group of high school friends known as the Golden Girls. She loved to play cards, to travel, and to entertain, but her greatest joy was found in creating a warm, welcoming home filled with love and laughter. Jaynel liked to decorate her house with Mardi Gras beads, or purple and gold when she invited friends over to watch an LSU football game and to eat her delicious seafood gumbo. Deeply committed to her Catholic faith, Jaynel faithfully attended mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She especially enjoyed the elaborate nativity display during Christmas season. On Saturday, August 2, a visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, celebrated by Father Martin Lawrence. Interment will follow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery, Plaquemine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the 100 Years Campaign at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 57805 Main Street, Plaquemine, Louisiana 70764. Jaynel Froisy Nadler will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
