Jayson Aaron Jones was born on August 30, 1978 in Des Moines, Iowa. In grade school one of the activities he enjoyed most was dance. Jayson graduated with honors from Indianola High School in 1997. While still in high school, he was very interested in the medical field so he started working at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines as a nurse’s aide. He then worked at Iowa Methodist Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Des Moines following graduation.
Throughout his life, he always enjoyed helping people.
He moved to Sioux City in 2023. Jayson passed away on July 31, 2025.
He is survived by his mother, Julie Jones; brother, Chad (Hillary) Prall; step-brother, Jason (Kim) Jones; step-sister, Jackie (Jack) Gibbons; nephews, Jacob and Jonah Prall, Chance and Blake Gibbons and Sam Jones; nieces, Hannah Prall, Maddie and Josie Jones and one great nephew Julian Prall.
