Jean-Marc Eden Benoit

Jean-Marc Eden Benoit, 27, born in Stamford in February 8, 1996 entered eternal life on Friday, April 14, 2023. Beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to all was born to Wendy Deonanan Benoit and Eden Benoit, who predeceased his son on February 23, 2021. Jean-Marc's family moved to neighboring Norwalk, CT when he was two years old.
There, along with his younger sister Alexa, he went through the local school system attending Brookside Elementary School, Columbus Magnet School, Roton Middle School and Brien McMahon High School, where he graduated in 2014.
Naturally creative and curious, Jean-Marc engaged in all activities and the people around him with an infectious and warm energy. From Pop Warner football as a boy, where his father also coached, until high school, he played alongside teammates and opponents who also became lifelong friends. He was never afraid of a challenge or trying something new and connected easily with those around him. This led to a strong athletic record, including playing hockey his senior year, representing both Brien McMahon and Norwalk high schools, in a special team representing the area.
Following his passions and innate gifts, Jean-Marc enjoyed the outdoors and infusing harmony and joy into his surroundings. Upon graduating from high school, he created a professional niche as an expert landscaper, working with a variety of local partners and independently for individual clients.
He also had a strong passion for making music and collaborated with friends and industry connections to produce a number of hip-hop singles and music videos. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and neighbors, always delivering a smile or a helping hand for every occasion.
Jean-Marc is survived by his mother, Wendy and sister Alexa, along with his large, loving family in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Florida and Canada. Known affectionately as "Mizzy" and "Tito Manuel" among his close friends and the larger community, he is deeply missed.
Family invites relatives and friends to a visitation on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 1pm to 3pm with a service at 3pm, at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will be private.
