Jeanean Louise Replogle, 91, of Chicago, passed away Friday evening April 25, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1934, in Bristol, Indiana. Jeanean was a graduate of Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka, Indiana. Jeanean began working at the South Bend Post Office in the 70's and retired in the middle 90's.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Everett Eugene Marquis, her parents: Myrle Gerald Replogle and Louise Irene Berkley, brothers: Myrle, Coy, John, and Fred (all Replogle's), and sisters: Rose and Mary Cole.
Surviving are her three sons: Victor Marquis (Sharon) of Elkhart, IN., Brian Marquis (Brenda) of Chicago, IL., and Darren Marquis of Laporte, IN., as well as her two loving granddaughters: Jasmine Marquis of South Bend, IN., Victoria Ketchum (Tristan) of Crossville, TN., as well as a great grandson: Lucas Ketchum. Jeanean was also blessed with many additional grand and great grand kids through her children's spouses.
Jeanean was a faithful member of the First English Lutheran Church of Mishawaka, IN, for many years. She was a devout Christian and loved singing in the choir when she was younger. Also, in her younger years, she took joy in singing at piano bars and throughout her life enjoyed knitting and sewing. Her other loves were Star Trek and Superman. Jeanean loved fashion and wearing shiny jewelry.
Jeanean's last years were spent in her son Victor's home and most recently her son Brian's. Jeanean was loved by all who knew her and she will be truly missed. Her family will make sure that her memory is carried on.
A private viewing for her family was held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury, IN. A burial service will be held at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury, for her family on Monday, April 28 at 10:30am. Online condolences may be offered at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
