Jeanene Geilman Palfreyman, "JP" passed away peacefully Thursday, January 26, 2023. She was born July 2, 1954 to Julius and Irene Platt Geilman, the youngest of 6 children.
As a small child her family moved to Orchard Avenue in South Ogden. She attended school at Marlon Hills Elementary, South Junior High, and graduated from Bonneville High School. She loved music and won awards for her beautiful voice. Her senior year of high school she became a candy striper. Her love of helping others and healthcare led her to obtain her CNA license. She worked many, many years at McKay Dee Hospital with newborns, she loved all the babies. She became a certified infant massage instructor and shared that knowledge with new mothers. She also participated in various committees involving women's health.
Jeanene married her sweetheart, Brian, on August 8, 1975 in the Ogden Utah Temple for all eternity. They were blessed with 2 children, Brianna Marie and Christopher John. She was thrilled to be a mother and loved them so much. They lived on Carney St. in South Ogden for close to 40 years and gained many dear friends, whom they loved and appreciated. Jeanene made a positive impact in the lives of those she knew.
Jeanene's heart broke when her sweetheart passed away 2 years ago, and she missed him every day. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, and oldest brother, Frank.
Jeanene is survived by her children, Brianna (Dallas) Woodard and Christopher John "CJ" Palfreyman, and 2 grandchildren, Evelyn Jaina Woodard and Ventus Kai Woodard. She is also survived by her siblings, Grant (Keitha) Geilman, Julene (HR) Hale, Keith (Janell) Geilman, and Wayne (Vickie) Geilman as well as her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Roberson, Susan Summers, Sandra Hunsaker, and Becky Palfreyman.
Her family appreciates the love and care she received the past 2 years from her friends and family at Avamere at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living, along with the many caregivers and helpers along the way.
