In 1973, Jeanene graduated from Medina Valley High School. She attended Southwest Texas State University and earned a BA in Theater with a minor in speech and a MA in theater with a minor in German. She taught math for one year at Medina Valley High School.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine Mecklenborg of Seattle; brother, Robert Steinle; niece, Ruth Ausburn (Bryan); nephews, Robby Steinle (Kaitlyn) and Chris Steinle; great-nieces Emily Ausburn and Heidi Steinle.
Jeanene was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Kenneth Steinle.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the Memorial Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, 1016 Lorenzo Street, Castroville, Texas. Private Inurnment will follow at a later date.
