Jeanette Lominick Boozer, 84, of Newberry, widow of Charles Keith “Dusty” Boozer died Friday, November 14, 2025.
Born on November 7, 1941 in Newberry, She was a daughter of the late George Ruff and Mary Renwick Lominick. She retired from the United States Forest Service and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Jeanette loved working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Gene (Amy) Hopper of Little Mountain; a daughter, Diane (Keith) Bishop of Greenwood; grandchildren, Jacob Hopper, Kayla (Brett) Setzler, Seth Bishop, Logan Bishop (Zoe Sanders), and Jesse O'Shields; great-grandchildren, Josie Setzler, Gracie Setzler, Briggs Setzler; her chosen children, Frieda and Craig Kesler; a son-in-law, Ben (Sadie) O'Shields; step-children, Kevin (Luanne) Boozer and Rance (Karol Kunkle) Boozer; step-grandchildren, Taylor Boozer, Katelynn (John) Roberts, Max Boozer, Will (Kayla) Boozer, Mark Boozer, and Allison (Kevin) Lazar; step-great-grandchildren, Ryder Roberts, Braxton Boozer, and Annelise Nelson; a step-daughter-in-law, Becky Boozer.
She was predeceased by a daughter Jennie O'Shields; a brother, Renwick Lominick; sisters, Mary Lou Lominick and Helen Sue Prevatte; a step-son, Jake Boozer; and a niece, Susan Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joseph James and by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
The family will be at the home of Kayla and Brett Setzler, 1214 Wheeland Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Active pall bearers will be Gene Hopper, Jacob Hopper, Seth Bishop, Logan Bishop, Jesse O'Shields, and Brett Setzler.
