Jeanne Pleshinger 90, of Bolivar, died Saturday September 16, 2023 at Park Village Care Center in Dover. Born April 14, 1933 in Cleveland she was a daughter of the late Michael J and Elizabeth C (Kuehn) Joyce. She was a graduate of Notre Dame College in Cleveland and.was employed as a typist for a court reporting firm then was employed at the Cleveland Marine Corp recruiting office. She retired from the Cleveland Drug Enforcement Agency. Jeanne was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Bolivar. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she cherished her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Pleshinger, whom she married June 19, 1958, on December 6, 2013. She is survived by her children Dr. John (Christine) Pleshinger of Bolivar, Catharine (Dr. John) Blackman of Columbus and James (Elissa) Pleshinger of Cincinnati; 8 grandchildren Emily (Matthew) Cox, Donald J. (Julie) Pleshinger, Matthew J. (Maria) Atala Pleshinger, Kellie E. Pleshinger, Christopher J. (Danielle) Blackman, Ann D. Blackman, Daniel Pleshinger, David Pleshinger and 2 great grandchildren Molly and Grace Cox.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity at 1835 Dover-Zoar Rd. N.E. Bolivar with Fr. Tomas Carvajal y Basto as celebrant assisted by Deacon Lyn Houze. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery in Cleveland.. There are no public calling hours. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements.
