Jeannette Alyce Mitchell

Jeannette Alyce Mitchell, 88, of North Beverly, passed away Thursday, July 31, at Avita of Newburyport, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of Giovanni and Maria (DiSario) Cotoia.
She was a prominent resident of North Beverly. Jeannette was the owner of the fondly remembered businesses The White Barn on Enon Street and Jeannette Alyce Bridal on Cabot Street. She was admired for her creativity, her entrepreneurial spirit and her strength. Her five daughters were blessed to have a mother that embraced laughter, music and the joy of living. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Jeannette is survived by her four daughters, Robin Delaney and her partner Joseph DiGrazia, Kim Costas and her partner Joe Landyn, Sherry Murphy, and Jennifer Mitchell and her partner John "Burk" Daggett; brother, Mario Cotoia and his wife Maureen; sister-in-law, Joanna Cotoia; Grandchildren Orest Manzi and his wife Lia, Mitchell Delaney, Brendan Delaney and his wife Melissa, Alex Costas and his partner Megan Helfrich, Danielle Costas, Rachel Murphy and her partner Joey Panariello, Patrick Murphy and his wife Amanda, Kyle Braude and his wife Katie, Whitney Owens and her husband Matt; Great Grandchildren Hayden Owens, Liam Owens, Olivia Manzi, Zoe Manzi, Wilder Costas Splaine, Atlas Costas Splaine, Koa Costas, Parker Delaney, Seamus Murphy, Quinn Murphy; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lorna Mitchell; her former husband Donald F. Mitchell; brothers, Rudolf Cotoia and Peter Cotoia; sisters, Angelina Cotoia St. Cyr, Eleanor Cotoia St. Pierre and Teresa Cotoia; and grandchild, Matthew Murphy.
Jeannette's funeral service will be held at Second Congregational Church, 35 Conant St., Beverly, on Tuesday, August 5, at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, on Monday, August 4, from 4:00-7:00pm. Burial will be at North Beverly Cemetery.
