Dale A. (Hammond) Moon, 81 of Ipswich, passed away on October 8th after a long, hard fought battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born in Gloucester on June 16,1944 to Richard Hammond and Muriel (Muise) Hammond, Dale was raised in Ipswich, graduating from Ipswich High School, Class of 1962. Dale was the wife of Eugene (Jack) Moon. They recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. After her children were grown, Dale got her real estate license, worked as a bookkeeper for an insurance company and finished her career bookkeeping for her husband's electronics company. Dale and Jack also spent over 40 years collecting and dealing in antiques.
In addition to her husband, Dale also leaves behind 3 children, Mitchell MacDonald and his wife Beth, Lori MacDonald and Darrin Moon and his wife Sandra. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 loving sisters in law, and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Visiting Hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, on Sunday, October 19th from 1pm to 3pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dale's memory to The Parkinson's Foundation. Information, direction, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
