Publish in a newspaper

James A. Moon, Jr., 82, of Ipswich passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Born on December 15, 1942, in Ipswich, he was the son of the late James A. Moon, Sr. and Marie (Gallant) Moon, and beloved companion of the late Donna Marie Nutile.
James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before beginning his professional career. In his early years, he owned and operated his own construction company before building a career as a wholesale lumber salesman with Diamond International. After retiring, he continued to give back to his community, serving for many years as president of his homeowners' association and as an active member of the First Church in Ipswich.
He had a lifelong passion for golf and deeply valued the friendships he shared with his longtime golf buddies. James will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and as a great conversationalist who could connect with anyone he met.
James is survived by his children: Michele Moon and her husband, Mark Lisee, of Hollis, NH; Julie Kenney and her husband, Sean, of Northborough, MA; and James P. Moon and his wife, Beth, of Dresden, ME. He was the proud grandfather of Allison Kenney, Jamie Moon, and Eliana Moon. He also leaves behind his siblings, Nancy LaFountain, Linda Huston, and Ronald Moon.
Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich, on Thursday, October 16th from 4 to 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held at First Church in Ipswich, 1 Meetinghouse Green, Ipswich, on Friday, October 17th at 11:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Cowles Cemetery, Ipswich.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James' memory to Veterans Count: www.vetscount.org/donate/
Those who knew James will never forget his humor, his stories, and his gift for conversation.

Jim Moon was a wonderful friend. He worked tirelessly for the Great Hill Community. He was a good friend of my husband, George. When my husband died on a trip we were on, he was right there helping me with the arrangements. I will never forget his kindness. I will miss you, Jim.
