Jeannette Rhoades

Jeannette Rhoades passed away peacefully on the evening of August 18 th , 2025,

surrounded by her loving family, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY; she

was 73 years old. Jeannette was born on February 12, 1952, in Harlem, New York, the

daughter of Catherine (Laino) and Constantino Rhoades.

Jeannette is survived by her sister Catherine Rumble (Alvin) of Saugerties, NY,

Joseph Rhoades (Denise) of Highland, NY, and Nicholas Rhoades (Amy) of Malta, NY.

She is predeceased by her beloved brother Lewis Rhoades. Jeannette was blessed

with 10 adoring nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her

family and friends. She loved music and old movies, dogs and cats and any celebration

that she could attend. She was always excited for the next holiday and her next dish of

linguini with white clam sauce. Jeannette was a sweet soul with a feisty spirit and a

great sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at The

DiDonato Funeral home at 11 a.m. Her burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in private

for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jeannette

directly to your local ASPCA. Funeral services were entrusted to The DiDonato Funeral
