Jeannine, "Jean" LeBarron Allen, died peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025. Born July 10, 1931, she was 93. Jean, as she was affectionately known, graduated from Rochester General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked over 30 years at Theda Clark Hospital and was the Head Nurse of 3 Center for several years. She was committed to her profession and loved making her patients laugh while in her care.
She was sharp, witty, great sense of humor and a contagious laughter, often the life of the party. A pet lover, Jean donated money for many years to various pet organizations, as other agencies. In her later years, she found herself spending much time with her neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Briones and their daughter Kenzie. It was this friendship that kept her going and feeling young, especially spending time with her "adopted" granddaughter, Kenzie. The Allen family is indebted to them for all of their wonderful help and support, and Victor's devoted love for her. God gave her many caring people and friends, but none more genuine, loving and dedicated to her than this beautiful family.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Allen II; her sons: Bruce C. Allen and Richard L. Allen; survived by her sons: Scott Allen and his wife Jane Allen; James Howard Allen III and his life partner Carmen Hernandez; her grandchildren: Katelyn, Amanda, Mike, Brian, Jenny, Jamie; great-grandson, Griffin; and great-granddaughter, Quinn.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday May 3, 2025, led by Pastor Larry Creamer, at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home,1140 Appleton Road, Menasha, WI 54952. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Menasha, WI. Jean fought a great fight, she kept her sense of humor till the end and now is with our Lord. "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!"

Oh, I'm so sorry. I loved working with her. She ran a tight ship. Patients were always first. I was so lucky to enjoy her friendship after work hours as well. Her quick wit & sense of humor was so great. I will miss her.
