Jeffery Lynn Pedue, age 61, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully at his home on December 23, 2024. Born on July 26, 1963, in Indiana, he was the cherished son of the late John and Rose (Hakes) Pedue. Jeffery's life was one marked by joy, creativity, and a deep love for his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
Jeffery is survived by his loving partner, Jerry Corwin of Port Huron, with whom he shared a life full of laughter and companionship. He leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories with his siblings: Gregory Pedue of Marcellus, Lori Byers of Sherwood, Brian Pedue of Port Huron, and Jennie Byers of Marcellus. His nieces and nephews, Dj, Justin, Ashley, Savannah, Olivia, and Nathan, will remember their uncle as a source of endless entertainment.
His career was a reflection of his passion for service and his love for culinary arts. Jeffery found great joy and purpose in working at assisted living facilities, where he was not just a cook but a friend to all the residents. He had a special talent for making meals and desserts that brought smiles to many faces, ensuring that every dish was as delightful as his personality.
The stage was Jeffery's second home. He was a beloved figure in the local theatre community, where his talents shone brightly. The Barn Theatre in Port Sanilac held a special place in his heart, as he spent most summers there performing since his graduation. His theatrical journey also took him to Richmond, Marine City at the Snug and Riverbank Theatres, and Port Huron at Enter Stage Right. His performances were not just acts; they were expressions of his creative spirit that captivated audiences time and again.
An animal lover at his core, Jeffery had a particular fondness for dogs. His pets were more than companions; they were part of his family and his heart.
Those who knew Jeffery would describe him as funny, analytical, and creative. His humor was a gift that he shared generously, bringing laughter to even the most mundane moments. His analytical mind allowed him to see the world from unique perspectives, often leading to insightful conversations and problem-solving. Creativity was the essence of Jeffery's being, whether he was crafting a story on stage, whipping up a new recipe, or finding a way to make his loved ones smile.
A gathering and viewing will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Smith Chapel, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron, MI 48060.

You always had a great smile... on stage, off stage, and even just trimming the hedges. I'll miss you forever

Some of my favorite memories of Jeff were when he was on stage. I enjoyed watching him act throughout high school & then at The Barn Theater. I was fortunate enough to help out a couple of summers there & I was so proud of him I couldn't wait to see him perform each & every night...making us laugh as he often did. I will miss you, big brother!!
