Jeffrey E. Charles

Stone Ridge - Jeffrey Edward Charles, 56, of Stone Ridge and West Port, NY died Sunday June 29, 2025 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Essex County, NY. He was born in Kingston August 15, 1968 a son of Judith Brooks Charles and the late Edward P. Charles. Jeff attended Rondout Valley Schools and worked as a self employed contractor. He worked 34 years at Anjes Farms in Stone Ridge. He was an outdoor enthusiast, skilled sailor and Captain. He loved boating, snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, and enjoyed scuba diving like his father. Jeff was an active member of Hidden Harbor Yacht Club in Port Ewen.
In addition to his mother of Cottekill, Jeff is survived by his brother Shawn Charles of Cottekill, a niece Kayla Charles of Stone Ridge, cousins, Pamela Turner and Anthony Brooks, his aunt Frances Smith of Kingston, his uncle Bill Brooks of Rosendale and Jeff's girlfriend Sue Constable of Rosendale. He also leaves behind a community of friends and neighbors whose lives are richer from knowing him and hearts are heavier in his absence.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday July 3 from 2 to 5 PM at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. At 5 PM following the visitation Rev. Arlene Dawber will conduct his funeral service. www.GJMoylanFuneralHome.com
