Jeffrey Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Elmhurst Community Funeral Home - The Ahlgrim Chapel on Feb. 20, 2026.
Jeffrey "Jeff" C. Clark, born on June 15, 1954 to Ruth (nee Buerger) and the late James "Jim" Clark. Loving brother of the late Rickey Clark and the late Jimmy Clark. Uncle of Jessica, James Paul and Krista. Best friend ever to Greg, Mary, Josh and Samantha. Nephew of the late Carl (Helen) Buerger, the late Richard (Sue) Buerger, the late Stella (Tom) Napady and the late Marge (Floyd) Babbitt. Fun cousin to many, especially to Dylan.

Jeffrey attended York Field Grammer School, Brian Junior High School, where Dan Wachholz from Epiphany Lutheran Church was principal, York High School and Northern Illinois University. He took organ lessons and was so good at it but, sadly, then quit. He had such a variety of jobs over the years, bus boy at Butterfield Country Club, owning 2 stained glass companies, salmon fishing, construction on the Dan Ryan, Maitre'd in Key West, landlord in Naples etc. He loved all sports and was a season ticket holder for the Chicago Bulls. He resided in Illinois, Washington, California and Florida with many moves. He had once attempted a bike ride from Illinois to California with someone hitting him halfway there, causing a concussion and ended with a train- ride finish. Jeffrey has donated his corneas enabling 2 people to see. Truly he was everybody's friend, defender and helper.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 314 W. Vallette St., Elmhurst, IL 60126. A funeral service will be held the following day on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at church. Interment will take place at a later date.
