Jeffrey Christian Knutsen
December 12, 1985 – January 18, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Christian Knutsen, aged 39, on January 18, 2025, at his home in Anthem, Arizona. Born on December 12, 1985, to Jeffrey Alan Knutsen (deceased) and Deborah Buechner, Jeffrey grew up in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, and Corning, New York, before making his home in Arizona.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his boundless love and compassion, as well as his ability to light up any room with his infectious charm, humor, and kindness. His passion for life was evident in all that he did-whether it was his love for music, movies, cooking, or spending time with family, friends, and his cherished pets. His adventurous spirit allowed him to make a friend wherever he went, and he brought joy to everyone who crossed his path.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his Pop Pop, Harold C. Knutsen, and his father, Jeffrey Alan Knutsen.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Buechner (and stepfather Tom), his brother, Peter Knutsen, his sister, Grace Buechner, his stepmother, Jean Knutsen, and his siblings, Tyler and Chloe Knutsen. He is also survived by his Nana, Rita Knutsen, his aunts, Karen Knutsen (Bob Lyberopoulos) and Donna (Paul) Vander Wiele, his uncle, Harold M. (Donna) Knutsen, as well as his cousins: Sonia (Pete) Darby, Amanda (Bryan) Crawford, Bonnie (Brendan) Friel, and Elizabeth VanderWiele, Paul (Katie) VanderWiele, Katelyn (Joey) Avonna, and Jarratt VanderWiele.
Jeffrey held a special place in his heart for Marlee Hackett, whom he loved like a daughter. He was also deeply devoted to his best companion, his beloved Rottweiler dog, Roxie.
A visitation and celebration of life service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary and Chapel, located at 8555 East Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. A reception will follow at the Knutsen home, located at 7517 East Tumbleweed Drive, Scottsdale, Arizona 85266.
In the spring, there will be a Celebration of Life and Sunset Burial in NY state on a family farm. All are welcome. Information to be shared.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to Camp Acorn. Camp Acorn is dedicated to providing social enrichment programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. https://campacorn.org/donate/
Jeffrey's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter, love, and light will be greatly missed.
