Jeffrey P. Moffett, 38, of Beverly, died on Sunday, January 12th. Born in Beverly on March 5, 1986, he was the son of Dianne (Arsenault) Moffett of Beverly, and Peter C. Moffett of Westport, MA.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Stephen Moffett and his wife, Heather Beaulieu, of Beverly; Lynn Isabelle, wife of Peter of Westport, MA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeffrey was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School in 2004. He received a BS in Computer Science from Worcester State University before obtaining an MS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating with honors for both.
Jeffrey was a self-employed data and systems analyst working with many area companies. He loved time spent outdoors. Whether hiking Mt. Monadnock or kayaking around Lynch Park and Dane Street Beach in Beverly, Jeffrey was always one to enjoy the beauty of nature. He was also a self-taught musician; playing both guitar and keyboard. He was a member of his college band, Random Variables, that played rock music around Massachusetts. Jeffrey was an animal lover and volunteered with the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem. Above all, he was devoted to his family and friends and enjoyed time spent with them at holidays and special occasions.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, on Tuesday, January 21st at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Beverly. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jeffrey's memory to the MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA 01970.
