Jeffrey "Jeff" Thomas Quinn, 63, beloved son, husband, father, and friend, died on Monday, August 4th, 2025, after a brief illness.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th, at 4PM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2PM-3:45PM at the funeral home. Jeff loved and was loved by many special friends and could be seen anytime of the year, in any kind of weather, wearing flip flops. Please consider wearing yours to the service and visitation in honor of Jeff.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ben D. Quinn and Betty Anne Robinson Quinn; mother-in-law, Ellen Forehand; and sister-in-law, Jacqueline "Jackie" Wishall.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Terry Quinn; daughters, Darby Quinn and Payton Quinn; brother, Paul Quinn and wife, Sharon; nephews, Christian Quinn, and Ben Quinn; niece, Addien "Addy" Quinn; brother-in-law, Ronald Wishall; nephew, Hunter Wishall and wife, Kaitlin, and their children, Jack and Ann Thomas; niece, Haley Wallace and husband, Brian; father-in-law, Cecil Forehand; special fur friend, Memphis; close friend and partner in crime of over 40 years, Bill Brantley; and a host of treasured family members and close friends.

Jeff was born July 24th, 1962, in Hyde County, NC, and was later adopted by his parents on November 21st, 1962. He was a graduate of J. H. Rose High School and Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College). He met the love of his life, Terry Ellen Harrell, at "The Spa" gym in Greenville in the late 1980's. They married at St. James Church in 1996, and in 1999, they welcomed their first child, Darby Ellen, followed by Payton Elizabeth six years later in 2005. If you asked his daughters, his wife, or anyone else in his life, they would tell you he was meant to be a "girl dad", and was a real-life superhero to his girls.

Jeff was a true gentle giant who could make immediate friends with any and everyone, and he was especially fond of his cul-de-sac crew. He was never without a pair of shorts, flip-flops, and a joke.

Throughout his life, Jeff was an avid fan of many sports, including football (lifelong Miami Dolphins fan) and baseball (Cincinnati Reds fan), and greatly enjoyed attending both ECU and App State sporting events. He also had a competitive side and excelled at playing tennis, pickleball, and golf.

In addition to his sports interests, he had a vast knowledge of all kinds of music, and especially enjoyed Rock n' Roll.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeff's name may be made to Pitt County Animal Shelter, 4550 County Home Road, Greenville, NC 27858, https://www.pittcountync.gov/153/animal-services.
