Jeffrey Thomas Riley, fondly known as Jeff, peacefully passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 62 in Hampton, Virginia. Born on June 26, 1962, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Jeff lived a life dedicated to his family, his work, and his numerous passions.
Jeff's professional journey was marked by over forty years of dedicated service as an HVAC Supervisor at Indoor Air Systems in Hampton, VA. His commitment to excellence and leadership in his field was widely recognized and respected by his colleagues and peers.
Beyond his career, Jeff was a man of many interests and hobbies. He loved the beach, finding peace in the sound of the waves and the beauty of the shoreline. A passionate outdoorsman, Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening, often sharing these pursuits with family and friends. His love for animals was equally profound, as he found great joy in raising them.
Jeff was a man of faith and community, attending Saint Matthew Catholic Church in
Chesapeake, VA. His educational background included an associate's degree in HVAC from Tidewater Community College. In addition, Jeff was proud to have received certification to foster and adopt, earning awards for his dedication and service in this area.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents, James Riley and Anne Yushas Riley, and his brother, Michael Riley. Jeff leaves behind a devoted family, including his beloved wife of 45 years, Melody D. Riley of
Chesapeake, VA. He is also survived by his children, Tiffany Riley, Joley Riley, Jerny Riley, Jyndy Riley, Ashley Riley, and James Riley, all of
Chesapeake, VA.
