Jeffrey was born February 9, 1956 in Spokane, Washington, the son of James E. and Adeline M. (Homenuk) Sheldon. He worked for Northrop Grumman Co. On September 9, 2006 he married Barbara Kloc.
Jeff loved airplanes and was always inspired by the Air Force. He loved recue dogs. Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sheldon, his step-children, Jerry (Amy) Janowski, Tim (Kendra ) Janowski and by Sarah (James) Dunn, by his grandchildren, Chloe, Jimmy, Makayla and one on the way, Kaiden, he is also survived by his brothers, Jim (Barbara ) Sheldon, Barry (Ann) Sheldon and Gene (Mary) Sheldon.
Visitation will July 27, 2025 from 12-3pm at DeFiore Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or any local dog rescues.
