Jeffrey C. Stickter

Jeffrey C. Stickter, 76, passed away on April 15, 2025, with his family beside him.
Jeffrey was born on May 4, 1948, in Poughkeepsie, New York, he was the son of Alfred
and Gladys Cole Stickter.
Jeffrey was a graduate of RCK High School class of '66 and attended Westchester
Community College in 1974.
On February 13, 1993, at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, Jeffrey married Christine
Osekoski.
Jeffrey retired from IBM East Fishkill where he was a Senior Facilities Coordinator.
Jeffrey was a member of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, Lagrangeville, NY.
Jeffrey was very entrepreneurial. In 1967, Jeffrey was 19 and started a successful food
truck business in front of IBM while they were building the East Fishkill Plant. Jeffrey
was later hired by IBM and worked at the East Fishkill plant for over 30 years.
He helped his two sons start their own businesses from the ground up. Jeffrey and his
wife Christine adopted two beautiful daughters from China. Jeffrey was a family person
and loved being there and watching his six children grow up and capturing their
memories through photography and VHS videography.
Jeffrey was a hands-on person, micro-managing with skill and love. He himself
transformed a single bedroom hunting shack into a home where he raised four of his
children. He loved to fish, work on cars, woodwork, and loved to play basketball. Jeffrey
was also a Basketball Coach for CYO at Holy Trinity.
Jeffrey beat lung cancer in 2018. Please donate to the American Cancer Society.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife Christine, his daughter and son in-law Heidi and Bernie
Herzfeld of Poughkeepsie, son Dion Mason Stickter of Poughkeepsie, son and daughter
in-law Jeffrey P. Jr. and Maura Stickter of Pleasant Valley, son Edward C. Stickter of
Lagrangeville, daughters Jacqueline C. and Isabella Stickter of Lagrangeville,
grandchildren Richard Campbell, Anthony Pulver, Elijah Stickter, brother and sister in-
law Bruce and Barbara Stickter of Staatsburg and brother Alfred Stickter of Pleasant
Valley and many nieces and nephews, and a great-granddaughter.
Calling hours will be Tuesday April 22, 2025, from 5pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle
Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at St. Kateri
Tekakwitha Church, 1925 NY-82 Lagrangeville, NY 12540.
