Jeffrey Kyle Summers, 62 of Fairmont passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family, Saturday January 25th, 2025. After his long battle with cancer. His love for life and his family was unmeasurable. His quick wit, patience, kindness, and wisdom will never be forgotten by those who loved him.Jeff was born December 10th, 1962, a son of the late Jimmy A. Summers and Norma J. Summers of Fairmont. He is survived by his wife Christina Summers, and their two children, Kaleigh and Tyler Summers. He is also survived by his sister Donetta Gillespie/ Roger, and her two children Amber Gillespie-Weaver and her children, and Tiffany Gillespie Harris. Sister-in-law Kimberly Summers-King and her husband Randy, Nephew Jaron Summers and his daughter Berkley Summers. Mother and father in-law Patricia and Keith Bunner. Sister and brother in-law Jennifer and John Villers, their two children Amber and Chrissy Gabor. Brother and sister-in-law Bill and Bridget Bunner and their two children, Aiden and Addison. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother Gregory A. Summers "Grizz" whom he dearly missed.Jeff graduated from Fairmont Senior High School, where he enjoyed playing football, following in his brother's footsteps. He graduated from the United Technical Center in 1996 where he earned a nursing degree. Jeff's passion for nursing and dedication was well recognized over the 28 years that he worked at Fairmont Arbors/ Guardian Healthcare. He absolutely loved all his residents and co-workers, who will miss him dearly. When Jeff wasn't spreading joy at work he could be found on a fishing bank, or in the woods with friends and family. He looked forward to every fall fishing trip to Spruce Knob Lake and had many fond memories there. He was eager to lend a hand to anyone in need. Jeff enjoyed music and attended many concerts throughout the years. He was an avid WVU and Steelers fan. Jeff was rarely without his children or his dog (blue). He was truly an amazing man that impacted too many lives to count.Family and friends can gather to remember Jeff at Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, on Thursday January 30th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday January 31st from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and then on Saturday February 1st from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm. Pastor Jackie Chambers will be officiating the service. Per his wishes Jeff will be cremated following the service. Memories and condolences can be left for the family at www.carpenterandford.com.
